The term “game-changing” is often over-used; for Eagle AXS it is entirely apt. SRAM have designed the new GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur and Eagle AXS controller to take that same performance and bring it a new, lower price, making it perfect for a wide range of bikes, from XC racers to Enduro bruisers.

The GX Eagle AXS derailleur carries over many of the features of the mechanical GX derailleur, such as the useful Cage Lock and Type 3 Roller Bearing Clutch. Controlled by SRAM's new AXS technology, the derailleur offers crisp, instantaneous shifting and a super-clean cable free design, taking mere seconds to install and sync with the GX AXS controller using the AXS app. Further improving shifting and durability is the Overload Clutch. This works to protect the rear derailleur in case of a direct strike to it from a trail-side obstacle or crash, protecting the derailleur and keeping it shifting smoothly. The system is completely water and dust proof to IP67K, so the elements are shrugged off with ease. The battery is shared with other AXS and eTap components, so can be swapped if needed and lasts between 20-30 hours of riding between charges.
